"Ditto and Pikachu Turned into Ice Cream"... CU Convenience Store (CU) Launches 3D Pokémon Ice Cream

[Financial News] CU is introducing new three-dimensional (3D) ice cream products that faithfully recreate the appearances of Pokémon characters using Pokémon intellectual property (IP).
According to industry sources on the 29th, CU will launch Frozen Ditto Sorbet. The grape-flavored sorbet is modeled after Ditto's purple appearance. On the 14th of next month, CU will also release Frozen Pikachu Sorbet in mango flavor and Frozen Magikarp Sorbet in orange flavor, each shaped like the respective Pokémon.
Last July, CU launched the Pat & Mat Half-and-Half Bar featuring the Pat & Mat characters and sold about 100,000 units in just one month. Since then, it has expanded its lineup of 3D character ice cream products to include Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Hangyodon, Minions and Crayon Shin-chan.
