KB Insurance Drives Employee-Led AI Innovation, Develops In-House Work Agents

[Financial News] KB Insurance is expanding field-driven AI adoption through a program in which employees directly develop artificial intelligence (AI) agents for workplace use.
KB Insurance announced on the 29th that it held 'Undercover Agenters' over two days from the 10th to the 11th. During the event, employees identified tasks requiring improvement and used Microsoft 365 Copilot to design and build AI agents to address them.
A total of 10 teams participated. The program stood out because non-developer employees designed the roles and instructions for the AI agents based on their work experience and produced solutions that could be applied to actual business operations.
Executives from each business division participated as 'mission sponsors,' providing guidance on the projects and sharing insights from the field. At the final presentation held on the 28th, the participating teams introduced the functions and potential applications of the agents they had developed.
The grand prize went to the 'Policy Application Manager Productivity Analysis Agent,' developed by the G-Agent team. The agent received high marks for incorporating productivity analysis and sales support functions based on frontline employees' work experience.
Following the event, KB Insurance plans to expand its self-development environment, enabling employees to create the AI tools they need for their work even without professional development skills. The company aims to establish a workplace culture in which AI is used as a routine tool for business innovation.
