'Hyundai Family's Fourth-Generation Member' Noh Hyun-jung's 19-Year-Old Eldest Son Becomes HNIX's Largest Shareholder

[Financial News] Jung Chang-geon, the eldest son of Noh Hyun-jung, a daughter-in-law of the Hyundai family and former Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) announcer, has reportedly become the largest shareholder of HNIX.

According to BizHankook on the 28th, Jung Chang-geon, the son of Noh Hyun-jung and former HN president Jung Dae-sun, holds a 39.74% stake in HNIX. HNIX was established in 2022 when HN spun off its IT services division through a physical spin-off. Its customers include companies affiliated with the broader Hyundai family, such as HD Hyundai Group, HL Group and HDC Group.
HNIX's 2025 audit report lists Jung Chang-geon and other major shareholders, including HNIX CEO Cha Dong-won with an 18.50% stake, Chung Mong-joon, chairman of The Asan Foundation, with 11.75%, HL Holdings with 10.39%, Hyundai Materials with 8.95%, and KCC Group Chairman Chung Mong-jin with 5.17%.
Born in 2007, Jung Chang-geon is still a minor, and the specific background behind his acquisition of the stake and whether he will participate in management in the future remain unknown. HNIX recorded sales of 76.6 billion won and an operating profit of 3.7 billion won last year. As of the end of last year, the company was in a state of complete capital impairment, with debt reportedly reaching 64.5 billion won.
Meanwhile, Noh Hyun-jung joined KBS in 2003 as an announcer from its 29th publicly recruited class and gained nationwide popularity by hosting programs including Sangsang Plus and Star Golden Bell. She left broadcasting after marrying Jung Dae-sun, a third-generation member of the Hyundai family, in 2006. She currently has two sons and devotes herself to supporting her family.
