Iranian Outlet: "Delegation Has No Plans to Hold Talks with the U.S. in New York"

[Financial News] On the 28th local time, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iran's state-run news agency, reported that the Iranian delegation had no further plans to negotiate with the United States in New York. Until now, the delegation had taken an active stance in negotiations to end the war, including by presenting a peace plan on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
A source who requested anonymity dismissed conflicting reports that U.S.-Iran talks would take place in New York, where the Iranian delegation is visiting to attend the UNGA. The source explained, "Iran's considerations and position were conveyed clearly and unambiguously to the United States through Qatari mediators on the 22nd, and Iran is currently waiting for a response from the United States."
The source added, "The Iranian delegation's agenda does not include plans for new negotiations with the United States, and the foreign minister is scheduled to return home on the 29th after completing all scheduled engagements."
