According to A, the incident occurred on a bus operating in Gimhae City, South Gyeongsang Province. A middle-aged woman boarded the bus and continued talking loudly on the phone for an extended period.
Describing the situation, A said, "She talked loudly for a long time about an automatic payment, whether it involved a card company or a bank. It was extremely loud and unpleasant, but the other passengers seemed to be putting up with it."
The driver reportedly asked the woman several times to end her call, but she did not comply. When the driver finally said, "Please hang up the phone," the woman retorted, "How dare you raise your voice at me?" The argument between them then began.
A claimed that the woman told the driver, "If you're a bus driver, just drive. How dare you talk back to a passenger?" She also allegedly said, "People on the phone may not realize how loud they are, but don't order me around. Am I your servant?"
The woman reportedly also complained to other passengers. A said she made comments to the effect of, "Can't people make phone calls on public transportation?" and "If you don't want to listen, take a taxi or drive your own car."
The woman reportedly filmed the bus driver with her cellphone, saying, "You made me uncomfortable, so I'll report you to customer service."
In the video that was made public, the woman can be seen continuing to argue with the driver while saying, "If you're a public transportation driver, you only need to drive." Their argument continued until she got off at her destination.
