Go Young-wook, Who Served Prison Time for Sex Crimes, Kicked Off TikTok After Just One Day... "Permanently Suspended Under the Guidelines"

[Financial News] Go Young-wook, a former member of Roo'Ra who served a prison sentence for sex crimes against minors, has been removed from TikTok following Instagram and YouTube.
TikTok Korea said on the 28th that Go Young-wook's account had been deleted that morning. TikTok explained, "Under our Community Guidelines, when it is confirmed that an account owner has committed a sex crime against a minor, we permanently suspend not only that account but also any other accounts held by the user." It added, "This action was also based on our Community Guidelines."
The previous day, on the 27th, Go Young-wook shared a link to a TikTok video on X, formerly Twitter, and announced the launch of a new channel. However, TikTok deleted the account just one day later, thwarting his latest attempt to return to public activity.
Go Young-wook had previously attempted to resume activities through online platforms such as YouTube, but his channels were successively shut down amid controversy over his record of sex crimes against minors. He opened an Instagram account in November 2020, saying, "I want to communicate with the world," but it was closed after just one day. YouTube deleted the channel he opened in August 2024 for violating its Community Guidelines.
Go Young-wook was indicted on charges of sexually assaulting and forcibly molesting minors, and the Supreme Court of Korea finalized a sentence of two years and six months in prison in 2013. The court also finalized orders requiring him to wear an electronic location-tracking device for three years and to have his personal information disclosed and notified for five years. Go Young-wook completed his sentence and was released from prison in 2015.
