All of Daegu to Transform into a Stage and Cultural Space This Fall!

【Financial News, Daegu—Kim Jang-wook, Reporter】This fall, all of Daegu will undergo a dramatic transformation into a vast stage and cultural space.
Daegu Metropolitan City will present the '2026 Fantasia DAEGU Festa Fall Festival'—hereinafter referred to as the 'Pandaepe Fall Festival'—by connecting 10 major festivals under a single brand over 20 days from October 2 to 21.
Marking its ninth season, the Fantasia DAEGU Festa Fall Festival will carry the slogan 'SOUND SPARK.' It signifies that the sounds and energy of different festivals will come together to create new vitality embodying the unique character of the Festa.
Hwang Bo-ran, director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, emphasized, "Ten festivals spanning performances, music, living culture, content and the arts will unfold across Daegu, offering citizens and tourists a diverse range of festival experiences. I hope everyone enjoys a special fall festival through the Pandaepe Fall Festival."
The Pandaepe Fall Festival will feature the Daegu International Opera Festival (DIOF), World Orchestra Festival, Daegu Folk Festival, Daegu International Healing Performing Arts Festival, Daegu Arts Festival, Daegu Living Culture Festival, Daegu Content Fair, the Daegu Kansong Museum of Art special exhibition 'Gyeomjae Jeong Seon—Painting Joseon Through the Eyes of Joseon,' Dalseong 100 Piano and the Dalseong Contemporary Art Festival.
To give citizens more time to enjoy the Pandaepe Fall Festival at a relaxed pace, its duration has been extended from 10 days to 20 days. This will allow visitors to explore individual festivals in greater depth and tailor their festival experience to their schedules and interests.
The Daegu International Opera Festival, running from October 2 to 31, will be held in an outdoor concert-opera format for the first time in the festival's history. It will offer a special opportunity to enjoy opera in an open setting, accompanied by the atmosphere of an autumn evening.
The Daegu Content Fair, taking place at the East Wing of EXCO from October 16 to 17, will feature a wide range of content exhibitions. It is also expected to draw greater public interest and participation by expanding hands-on programs, including an e-sports festival and a creator talk show.
Various discounts and events will also be offered for citizens visiting the Pandaepe Fall Festival. The Daegu Kansong Museum of Art and Daegu Art Museum will provide 30% off admission, while the downtown circular route of the Daegu City Tour Bus will be available at a 50% discount.
Major amusement facilities, including E-World and Daegu Aquarium, will also offer discounts, allowing visitors to enjoy Daegu's wide range of attractions alongside the festival.
Events that allow citizens to participate directly in the festivals are also attracting attention. The 'Space Passport Stamp Tour' will verify visits through QR codes installed at festival venues, while the 'Let's Take Public Transportation to the Fantasia DAEGU Festa' event will allow participants to visit festival venues by public transit and verify their trips.
Meanwhile, Daegu Metropolitan City expects the festival to boost participation while also providing opportunities to experience the city's diverse cultural and tourism resources.
