Ruling party and government to consult on Future Response Fund on the 29th... Local government heads to attend discussions on Local Grant Tax reform

Park Seong-jun, the chief spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, met with reporters after the Supreme Council meeting on the 28th and announced, "A party-government consultation regarding the Future Response Fund and the reform of the Local Grant Tax will be held tomorrow (the 29th) at 8 a.m. in the Policy Committee meeting room."
Chief Spokesperson Park mentioned the specific procedures, stating, "The Ministry of Planning and Budget will prepare a report and discussion on the implementation plan for the Future Response Fund, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will report on the status of the Local Grant Tax and trends in local governments."
The Democratic Party of Korea will be represented by Party Leader Kim Min-seok, Floor Leader Han Byung-do, Policy Committee Chairman Kwon Chil-seung, National Assembly Special Committee Chairman Lee Kwang-jae, and National Assembly Public Administration and Security Committee Chairman Kim Young-jin. It appears that all key figures of the party leadership are attending, considering the importance of the Future Response Fund, a key priority of the Lee Jae-myung administration.
Minister Park Hong-keun and Minister Yun Ho-jung are scheduled to attend and directly explain key pending issues regarding the Future Response Fund to the party.
In addition, metropolitan and provincial government heads affiliated with the Democratic Party of Korea are also scheduled to attend the consultations to discuss the reform of the Local Grant Tax. These include Gyeonggi Province Governor Choo Mi-ae, Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City Mayor Min Hyung-bae, Busan Mayor Chun Jae-soo, Incheon Mayor Park Chan-dae, and Ulsan Mayor Kim Sang-wook.
