[Breaking News] Kim Gi-hyeon in 'Kim Keon Hee Roger Vivier Bag' Case... Special Prosecutor Seeks One-Year Prison Sentence

[Financial News] The investigative team led by Special Counsel Min Joung-kie, the Special Prosecutor for Kim Keon-hee, sought a one-year prison sentence for People Power Party lawmaker Kim Gi-hyeon and his wife. The couple was indicted on charges of giving Kim Keon Hee a Roger Vivier bag in exchange for support in the People Power Party leadership election.
The 22nd Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Cho Hyung-woo, held the closing hearing on the case against lawmaker Kim and his wife, identified by her surname Lee, on charges of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act on the 28th.
The couple was indicted on Dec. 27 last year on charges of providing Kim Keon Hee with a Roger Vivier clutch bag worth 2.67 million won on March 17, 2023.
