[On-Site Video] Kang Shin-chul: "I Will Build a Victorious Military Without Losing Sight of Our Original Mission"

Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party, and newly appointed Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul held talks at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea on the 28th, discussing issues related to the Republic of Korea's national defense and security.
Jang Dong-hyuk highlighted the honor Kang Shin-chul had enjoyed as a soldier, having served up to the rank of general, and urged him, "Protect that honor to the very end and firmly safeguard the Republic of Korea's national defense and security."
Newly appointed Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul replied, "I will carry out my duties as minister without losing my initial resolve," adding, "I will build the ROK Armed Forces into a force that is unyielding toward the enemy, loved by the people, and capable of achieving victory."
Minister Kang then added, addressing the public, "Please trust, have confidence in, and support our military."
