BTS Wins Song of the Year at U.S. MTV VMAs After Rosé

[Financial News] BTS was named the winner of Song of the Year, the top prize, at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), a U.S. popular music awards show.
At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on the 27th (local time), BTS won the major Song of the Year award for "Swim," the title track of their fifth studio album, "Arirang."
After Rosé of BLACKPINK became the first K-pop artist to win Song of the Year last year with "APT.," her collaboration with U.S. pop star Bruno Mars, BTS has now won the award as well, giving K-pop artists the honor for two consecutive years.
BTS also won Best K-Pop and Best Group, for which the group had been nominated, taking home three awards in total.
Earlier, BLACKPINK's Lisa celebrated a win after competing against Taylor Swift. She received the Best Pop award for "Dream," a track from her first solo studio album, "Alter Ego."
This marked the second time an Asian artist had won the category, following BTS in 2020. Lisa was the first solo artist to do so.
