New Community-Bus Route Linking Busan Eco Delta City and Gangseo-gu Office... Four Buses Added

[Financial News] Four additional community buses will be deployed in Busan Eco Delta City, Gangseo District, where transportation demand is rising due to large-scale move-ins. 
Busan City announced on the 28th that it plans to establish a new community-bus route through a public call for applications to address public transportation inconveniences in Busan Eco Delta City.
The expansion of public transportation in Busan Eco Delta City is one of the livelihood-related issues citizens raised before Chun Jae-soo took office as mayor, making it an urgent matter to resolve. 
The city will issue an announcement on the 30th seeking applicants for the operation of the Busan Eco Delta City community-bus route and participation in the integrated management system.
Community buses in Busan that have been out of service for an extended period will be incorporated into Gangseo District’s integrated community-bus management system and assigned to the new Busan Eco Delta City route. The number of buses in operation will increase from 64 to 68, with four additional buses deployed. One route linking Busan Eco Delta City and Gangseo-gu Office will be operated to improve transfers to Busan Metro Line 3 and the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail Transit.
The new route will be established by increasing the capped number of community buses in Gangseo District through a public call for applications and providing compensation for transportation losses. The city explained that this is a new effort to strategically utilize the city’s limited public transportation resources and rationally adjust supply to demand by relocating community buses that have been closed for extended periods to areas in need of public transportation. 
Hwang Hyeon-cheol, head of Busan City’s Transportation Bureau, said, "The city launched this public call for route proposals to respond flexibly to transportation demand across Busan within the limits of its available resources."
