'Busan Rock Festival': 12 Additional Line 2 Train Services from Oct. 2 to 4

During the festival, the corporation will add four Busan Metro Line 2 services per day, for a total of 12 additional services, between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., when many festivalgoers are expected to head home. It also plans to deploy additional safety personnel at stations near the venue to strengthen crowd control and on-site guidance while supporting the safe movement of visitors.
First held in 2000, the Busan International Rock Festival has continued for 27 years, making it Korea's longest-running international rock festival. This year, 99 acts from Korea and abroad, ranging from globally top-tier headliners to emerging artists, will take the stage. About 75,000 visitors from Korea and abroad attended last year. Many festivalgoers are expected to attend this year as well, as tickets for the second and third days sold out early.
The corporation will also operate a promotional booth at the festival site featuring the slogan "There are no doors to get off the bliss train departing from Busan." It will hold various interactive events, including offering souvenirs to visitors who verify that they used the Busan Metro.
In addition, the corporation plans to show a campaign video promoting the use of the metro during performance intermissions, linking the enjoyment of the festival to using the metro on the way home.
A themed space featuring the artist lineup and festival imagery will also be created at Sasang Station on Busan Metro Line 2, near the festival site, starting at the end of this month.
