[Exclusive] Man in his 80s in 'Jeonnong-dong Knife Attack' Sent to Prosecutors in Custody on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

[Financial News] A man in his 80s who injured a passerby by wielding a weapon in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, has been sent to prosecutors in custody.
According to police and other sources on the 28th, Seoul Dongdaemun Police Station sent the man, identified as A, to the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office in custody on the 21st on suspicion of attempted murder.
A is accused of stabbing B, a man in his 70s, with a weapon at around 8:20 p.m. on the 13th in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
B was taken to a hospital immediately after the incident and was found to be in non-life-threatening condition.
Police found A near the scene and arrested him as a suspect caught in the act.
Seoul Northern District Court, with Presiding Judge Kang Young-hoon handling the warrant, held a pretrial detention warrant hearing for A on the 15th and issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns that he might flee.
