'The Assassin(s)' Tops Chuseok Box Office, 'Tazza: The High Rollers' Second; 'Possible Love' Ranks Fifth on 195 Screens

The final installment in the 'Tazza: The High Rollers' series, 'Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub' overtook 'The Odyssey' to rank second. A total of 566,526 people watched the film over the weekend, bringing cumulative admissions to 830,000. Its share of revenue was 21.3%.
Third place went to 'The Odyssey,' which has surpassed 10 million admissions. The film continued to draw audiences after its release, attracting another 360,000 viewers over the weekend and bringing its cumulative total to 11,783,297. Released on the 16th, 'The Intern' fell three places as new Korean films opened. It drew 200,000 weekend viewers and recorded 750,000 cumulative admissions.
The film attracting attention is 'Possible Love,' which ranked fifth. The Netflix original drew 72,022 viewers over the weekend, recording 115,938 cumulative admissions. It played on 195 screens—about one-eighth the number for 'The Assassin(s),' one-fifth that of 'Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub,' and one-fourth that of 'The Intern'—yet placed fifth in the weekend box office. The film received a limited theatrical release at select theaters ahead of its worldwide release on Netflix in November.
