Korean businesspeople from around the world converge on Incheon; 24th World Korean Business Convention to open from the 28th to the 30th

【Financial News, Incheon—Reporter Han Gap-su】Korean businesspeople from around the world will gather in Incheon Metropolitan City to expand their global network and pursue practical business cooperation in areas such as exports and investment.
Incheon Metropolitan City Government said on the 28th that it will host the 24th World Korean Business Convention (2026 World Korean Business Convention) at Songdo Convensia from the 28th to the 30th.
About 3,000 people will attend, including approximately 1,000 overseas Korean businesspeople and 2,000 domestic businesspeople.
The convention will be held in conjunction with 2026 Korea Week, which runs from the 27th through October 1. Under the slogan “Building an irreplaceable Korea together with 7 million overseas Koreans,” the World Korean Community Leaders Convention, World Korean Convention, and World Korean Next Generation Convention will also take place to expand the global overseas Korean network.
The corporate exhibition opening on the 28th will feature 400 booths and more than 300 companies. Incheon Metropolitan City Government will operate 120 booths, including 110 local companies and 10 city promotional booths, to showcase outstanding products from local small and medium-sized enterprises and support their efforts to develop overseas sales channels and attract investment.
The official opening ceremony on the 29th will feature a Pungnyu Janggu Dance performance by the Incheon Municipal Dance Company, along with an opening performance. An investment attraction briefing will then be held for about 160 overseas Korean businesspeople and buyers, introducing key investment conditions and promising projects in the region, including the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ).
Side events highlighting Incheon Metropolitan City’s history and culture will also be held, including an immigration history photo exhibition, industrial tours, cultural and tourism programs, and the Yogijogi Music Concert. Incheon Metropolitan City Government will support participants’ safety and convenience by providing dedicated shuttle vehicles between the airport, event venues, and accommodations, as well as conducting fire safety inspections, managing on-site sanitation, and operating volunteer services.
Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Park Chan-dae said, "I hope this convention will become a venue for tangible achievements, where overseas Korean businesspeople and domestic small and medium-sized enterprises connect in practice and go on to create investment, exports, and new business opportunities."
