A, a former national water polo team player, was indicted for allegedly pressing part of his body against a passenger while intoxicated on the subway in October last year and exposing an intimate part of his body to the victim.
A was reported to have admitted the offense during the trial, saying, "I was intoxicated at the time."
He was also reportedly previously punished for a similar offense.
The court explained its sentencing decision, saying, "The offense is serious because he reoffended despite having previously been fined for public indecency. However, we took into account that he reached a settlement with the victim and had no other criminal record."
