Saudi Arabia Faces Continued Houthi Attacks; Riyadh Schools Suspend In-Person Classes

[Financial News] Schools in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, will switch to remote classes for one week as attacks by the pro-Iran Houthi rebels continue. 
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP) on the 27th local time, schools in Riyadh emailed parents to inform them that in-person classes would be suspended and remote classes would be held. School officials said the measure was taken in accordance with a decision by Saudi authorities, but the authorities did not disclose the reason for the switch to remote classes.
Parents in Riyadh expressed confusion over the sudden notice that classes would move online. One parent said, "If this is a decision that affects all students for a week, the reason should be explained clearly and transparently."
The measure comes as the Houthi rebels step up attacks targeting Saudi Arabia. The group has intensified its attacks on Saudi Arabia since a truce that had lasted for years broke down in July.
