[Financial News] It has been reported that Go Young-wook, a former member of the group Roo'Ra who served a prison sentence for sex crimes against minors, has opened a TikTok account.
On the 27th, Go Young-wook shared a link to a TikTok video on his X account, formerly Twitter. The video, posted without any particular explanation, shows Go Young-wook walking past in a black coat and hat. It is presumed to be an announcement of the launch of a new channel.
Go Young-wook had previously attempted to remain active through online platforms such as YouTube, but his channels were closed one after another amid controversy over his history of sex crimes against minors. He opened an Instagram account in November 2020, saying, "I want to communicate with the world," but it was shut down after just one day. His YouTube channel, launched in August 2024, was removed by YouTube for violating its community guidelines.
Go Young-wook was indicted on charges of sexual assault and forcible molestation of minors. In 2013, the Supreme Court of Korea finalized his sentence of two years and six months in prison. It also finalized orders requiring him to wear an electronic tracking device for three years and to have his personal information disclosed and notified for five years. Go Young-wook completed his sentence and was released from prison in 2015.
