Inje City Tour Begins Operations as Hometown Love Fund's First Project Gets Underway

【Financial News | Inje = Kim Gi-seop, Reporter】A city tour bus has begun operating, allowing passengers to visit the Inje Autumn Flower Festival grounds, Yeocho Calligraphy Museum and Baekdamsa Temple in a single day for just 10,000 won. The full fare is returned in local gift certificates.
According to Inje County on the 27th, the county launched the Inje City Tour, its first project funded by the Hometown Love Fund, on the 24th, when the Inje Autumn Flower Festival opened. The city tour is a tourism transportation service designed to let tourists and residents travel between local attractions without worrying about transportation. Its first route is a special route linked to the festival.
The special route starts at the festival grounds in the Yongdae Tourist Area in Buk-myeon and connects Yeocho Calligraphy Museum and Baekdamsa Temple in a single day. At the festival, which runs through October 11, visitors can enjoy flower paths lined with chrysanthemums and gujeolcho, as well as the Park In-hwan Romantic Garden, created to mark the 100th anniversary of poet Park In-hwan's birth. The itinerary then takes visitors to Yeocho Calligraphy Museum to view works by Yeocho Kim Eung-hyeon, a master of Korean calligraphy, and to Baekdamsa Temple to experience the valleys along the foothills of Seoraksan and the tranquil scenery of the mountain temple.


In addition to the festival-linked route, other routes will connect major attractions in Inje, including Baekdamsa Temple and Naetgang Village, the birch forest, and Baekdamsa Temple and Hangyesanseong Fortress. The fare is 10,000 won per person, and the entire amount is returned in Inje Sarang Gift Certificates, which passengers can use at restaurants and shops during their trip. Meals and optional activities cost extra, and the bus operates when at least 8 passengers are booked.
Passengers on the first day said the service was convenient because they did not have to drive themselves, and they were pleased that they could use the returned gift certificates to pay for meals. Inje County expects the service to spread festival visitors throughout the area and encourage longer stays, as a single reservation allows them to visit a variety of attractions. Operating days and boarding times for each route, along with reservation details, are available on the Inje County Office website and the Inje County tourism platform "Jigeum, Yeogi, Inje."
Kim Jang-ung, head of Inje County's Regional Development Division, said, "I hope the city tour, which allows visitors to tour the festival grounds, Yeocho Calligraphy Museum and Baekdamsa Temple in a single day for 10,000 won and receive the fare back in gift certificates, will serve as a guide leading tourists to every corner of Inje," adding, "We will continue to develop the routes so visitors can conveniently experience not only well-known attractions such as the birch forest and Hangyesanseong Fortress, but also Inje's lesser-known hidden charms."
