Namdo Content Fair to Be Held at Gokseong Train Village from October 9 to 11

【Financial News, Jeonnam-Gwangju = Reporter Hwang Tae-jong】The Namdo Content Fair will be held at Gokseong Train Village from October 9 to 11, offering visitors the opportunity to view and experience content in various genres, including animation, characters and games.
 The Namdo Content Fair, co-hosted by Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City (Gwangju Metropolitan City) and Gokseong County and organized by the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (JICIPA), will be held for the third time this year. The event offers citizens the opportunity to enjoy outstanding content created by local young people, companies and creators, while exploring the potential for Namdo’s diverse cultural resources to expand into the content industry.
 Lee Gil-yong, a cultural policy officer at Gwangju Metropolitan City, said, "Jeonnam-Gwangju has abundant local resources in history, culture, art, tourism and ecology, and we are supporting these resources so that they can combine with the content industry and grow into competitive K-culture content." He added, "We hope citizens will see and experience these achievements firsthand through this year’s Namdo Content Fair."


  According to Gwangju Metropolitan City, this year’s event will feature a variety of programs, including an opening ceremony, a content exhibition and experience zone, promotional booths for local governments, related organizations and universities, family-oriented hands-on programs, special lectures by notable figures, and a content business consultation session.
 First, the exhibition and experience zone will showcase around 60 pieces of content across various genres, including animation, characters, stories, media art, games, and the metaverse and virtual convergence.
 The family-oriented hands-on programs will include the "Game Culture Family Camp," featuring Brawl Stars and Nintendo Switch Sports; the AI treasure hunt "Treasure Hunters in Gokseong: Train Village Explorers," in which participants use smartphones to complete missions at Gokseong Train Village; and the "Media Sharing Bus," where participants can experience AI digital safety education and the production of public-interest news.
The special lectures by notable figures will feature popular YouTube creator "Syubbeolman," who will share experiences of failure and success during the content creation and startup process through the "Failure Studies Concert." Writer Lee Dae-yang, who works under the name "Dr. Ver," will give a special lecture by a story expert, while Park Je-hyeon, a former Brawl Stars professional gamer and YouTuber, will deliver a special lecture on gaming.
 The content business consultation session will provide creators and companies in the webtoon, character and story sectors with expert content feedback, business consultations and networking opportunities.
