Lee Couple Joins K-Pop Fans in Mexico for 'Dynamite': "Thank You for Your Passion"

【Financial News, Mexico City (Mexico) — Reporter Choi Jong-geun】President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung visited the '2026 K-EXPO MEXICO' at the World Trade Center in Mexico City on the 25th (local time) and engaged with local K-pop fans.
The presidential couple made a surprise visit to a 'random play dance' event attended by about 150 local dance team members and K-pop fans, Seong Gi-hong, senior secretary for public relations and communication at the presidential office, said in a briefing.
President Lee said, "I am truly happy to meet all of you who love K-pop," and encouraged the participants, saying, "I hope you will become dancers and singers who make others happy through K-pop."
First Lady Kim also expressed her gratitude for the passion of local fans, saying, "I heard that the passionate cheers and enthusiasm you showed when BTS visited Mexico last May took everyone by surprise."
At the host's direction, the presidential couple pressed the play button, and 'CBZ (Prime time)' and 'Fighting,' performed by Seventeen's unit BSS (BooSeokSoon), followed by BTS's 'Dynamite,' played in succession. As the participants performed the choreography, President Lee and First Lady Kim responded with applause.
After the performance, they took commemorative photos with the participants and shook hands with each one, offering words of encouragement. Seong explained, "It was an opportunity to witness the power of K-culture, which has captivated people around the world, and the local fans who genuinely love K-pop."
