According to police and fire authorities, a chain-reaction crash involving four passenger cars occurred that morning on Nambusunhwan-ro in Bangbae-dong, Seocho District, Seoul.
Five people, including the drivers, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals.
Some lanes were closed during the response, causing traffic congestion on nearby roads for a time. The scene was cleared at around 11:15 a.m., about 1 hour and 30 minutes after the crash, and traffic is now moving normally.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.
