KR Delivers 10 Million Won Scholarship to Badasarang Navy Scholarship Foundation

[Financial News] The Korean Register (KR) announced on the 25th that it had visited Navy Headquarters on the 22nd, presented a scholarship to the Badasarang Navy Scholarship Foundation, and delivered a special lecture on future defense technology development.
KR Chairman Lee Young-seok presented 10 million won to the Badasarang Navy Scholarship Foundation. Chief of Naval Operations of the Republic of Korea Navy (CNO) Kim Kyung-ryul attended the ceremony and expressed his gratitude.
The scholarship will be used to support the education of the families and children of naval personnel killed in action, who died in service, or lost their lives while performing official duties, as well as to foster future talent.
At the special lecture that followed, about 100 senior Navy officials and officers attended. Kim Dae-heon, head of the Research Headquarters, introduced the global trend toward civilian advanced technologies leading defense innovation, replacing the previous model in which military technologies were transferred to the civilian sector. A lively question-and-answer session followed on changes in the future security environment and ways to expand military-civilian technology cooperation.
Chairman Lee said, "I extend my deepest respect and gratitude to the naval personnel and their families who devote themselves to protecting the waters of the Republic of Korea." He added, "KR will continue to contribute to improving the welfare of service members and fostering talent through cooperation with the Navy."
The Korean Register is expanding technical cooperation to strengthen future naval power, including whole-life-cycle safety verification for naval vessels and submarines, maritime manned-unmanned integrated combat systems, and nuclear-powered submarine technology development. Through these efforts, it is contributing to enhancing the nation's maritime power and maritime security capabilities.
