[On-site Video] Kim Tae-gyu: "He is not even worth impeaching... Resume Lee Jae Myung's trial immediately"

On the 22nd, People Power Party lawmaker Kim Tae-gyu attended the public briefing on the Lee Jae Myung administration's failures held in front of the main building of the National Assembly and strongly condemned the opposition camp's pressure on the judiciary, calling for the prompt resumption of trials involving President Lee Jae Myung.
In his remarks, Kim said, "Even if the prosecution and security investigation powers are abolished, what ultimately does not disappear are President Lee Jae Myung's crimes and the five trials," and claimed, "From the outset, the current administration has persistently attacked the judiciary, mobilizing calls to impeach the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Korea, the creation of a crime of distorting the law, and the refusal to recommend candidates for Supreme Court justices in an attempt to bring the entire judiciary under its control."
He continued, "The Constitutional Court of Korea has even recognized constitutional complaints against court rulings, putting in place a mechanism to overturn unfavorable Supreme Court of Korea rulings," adding, "We cannot leave future generations a country where people go unpunished for crimes as long as they seize power."
Kim said, "He is not even worth impeaching; all that is needed is to resume the trial," and added, "The People Power Party will stand at the forefront and defend the rule of law in the Republic of Korea to the very end."
