South Korea Women's Basketball Team Advances to Semifinals [Nagoya Asian Games]

[Financial News] The South Korea women's national basketball team has advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Led by head coach Park Soo-ho, the South Korea women's national basketball team defeated Indonesia 101-59 in the Asian Games quarterfinals held at Aichi International Arena in Nagoya, Japan, on the 24th. South Korea will face China in the semifinals on the 25th.
South Korea has reached the semifinals at every Asian Games since the 1974 Tehran Games, when women's basketball was first introduced at the event. Apart from finishing fourth at the 2006 Doha Games, the team has won a medal at every edition, including the unified team's silver medal in 2018.
At these Games, South Korea is seeking its fifth Asian Games gold medal overall, following its titles in 1978, 1990, 1994 and 2014.
