People Power Party Leader Jang Dong-hyuk: "All Lee Did After the Accident Was Post a Four-Paragraph Social Media Message"

[Financial News] The People Power Party launched an offensive on the 24th, accusing the Lee Jae-myung administration of failing to promptly begin an on-site investigation into a recent explosion in the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) believed to have been caused by a landmine.
People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk said on Facebook that "the four-paragraph social media post President Lee uploaded immediately after the accident is all there is. He has not said a single word about investigating the landmine provocation or responding to North Korea's repeated provocations." He added, "With the president acting this way, the military's conduct is even more pathetic."
Jang sarcastically asked, "The military says it will conduct an on-site investigation after the Chuseok holiday. It is even said that our military refused when the United Nations Command (UNC) tried to immediately begin an on-site investigation. Are you trying to give North Korean troops time to destroy evidence?"
He continued, "During the 2015 wooden-box landmine provocation, evidence was collected on the afternoon of the accident, and a joint on-site investigation with the UNC was conducted just two days later." He criticized the government, saying, "If the on-site investigation was intentionally delayed, that itself is clearly an 'act of aiding the enemy.' If it was done on the president's orders, there could be no clearer grounds for impeachment."
Jang emphasized, "The Ministry of National Defense refused our party's visit to the site of the provocation yesterday. It said we could go again on Monday, but it is still evading an answer. It is afraid to tell the people the truth."
Independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon also posted a series of messages on Facebook that day, announcing a schedule for a press conference in front of the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan. He said, "The Lee Jae-myung administration's decision to delay the investigation under the pretext of the Chuseok holiday could allow rainwater to wash away evidence or give North Korean troops an opportunity to destroy it."
Han criticized the government, saying, "The area is a blind spot for our surveillance equipment, so North Korean troops could come down and destroy evidence during the holiday. If war broke out during the holiday, would you take the holiday off before fighting?"
