Korea Maritime & Ocean University Holds 'Sharing Rice Cakes of Love for Chuseok' Event for International Students

[Financial News] The Office of International Affairs at Korea Maritime & Ocean University held a 'Sharing Rice Cakes of Love for Chuseok' event for international students and language trainees at the International Exchange and Cooperation Building on the 23rd, the university said on the 24th. 
The university distributed sets of tteok, a traditional Korean food, to about 270 international undergraduate and graduate students and language trainees. The event allowed the students to try tteok, a traditional Chuseok food, and naturally experience the meaning of Chuseok and Korea's traditional food culture.
Kim Jeong-hun, head of the Office of International Affairs, said, "We organized this event to convey the warmth of the holiday season to international students living in Korea away from their hometowns and families for Chuseok. We hope that students can experience Korea's traditional culture up close and feel a sense of belonging and connection as members of the university."
The Office of International Affairs operates various support programs to help international students settle into university life and adapt to Korean society.
