[Financial News] On Friday, the 25th, which is Chuseok, rain will fall in places across the country amid mostly cloudy skies.
According to the Korean Meteorological Administration on the 24th, rain falling from dawn through the morning of the 25th along Gangwon State’s East Sea coast and in mountainous areas, as well as along the northern North Gyeongsang Province’s East Sea coast, will spread to the Seoul metropolitan area, the Chungcheong region, the Jeolla region and the North Gyeongsang region from late afternoon.
Expected precipitation over the two days of the 25th and 26th is around 5 mm in Seoul, Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province and the Five West Sea Islands; 5–20 mm in Gangwon State; 5–10 mm in Daejeon, Sejong City, South Chungcheong Province and Chungcheongbuk-do; 20–60 mm along the coast of South Jeolla Province (Jeonnam); 10–40 mm in Gwangju and inland Jeonnam; 5–20 mm in Jeollabuk-do; and around 5 mm in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.
At night, some areas of South Gyeongsang Province may also receive raindrops totaling less than 0.1 mm.
The difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures will be large, at 10–15 degrees, particularly in inland central regions. Morning lows are forecast at 14–21 degrees, while daytime highs will range from 22 to 28 degrees.
Wave heights in the nearshore waters of the East Sea and South Sea will be 0.5–1.5 meters, compared with 0.5–0.5 meters in the Yellow Sea. In the inner offshore waters, defined as offshore waters approximately within 200 kilometers of the coastline, wave heights are expected to reach 0.5–2.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea and 0.5–1.0 meters in the Yellow Sea.
