[Financial News] Samsung Securities' special offering, launched alongside its entry into the issued-note market, sold out within two and a half days of its launch.
Samsung Securities said on the 23rd that its one-year special offering, carrying an annual rate of 4.3% and introduced to commemorate the launch of its issued notes, had reached its target amount of KRW 100 billion within two and a half days.
The product was sold to customers with comprehensive accounts, with an individual subscription limit ranging from KRW 1 million to KRW 300 million.
In addition to the special offering, Samsung Securities is also selling regular issued notes. The installment-type product carries an annual rate of 4.6%, while the on-demand product offers 2.55%. The term-type product carries annual rates ranging from 2.65% to 3.95%, depending on the maturity.
Issued notes are products with maturities of no more than one year that securities firms designated as comprehensive financial investment business operators, with at least KRW 4 trillion in equity capital, issue on their own credit. They can be issued up to 200% of the issuer's equity capital.
Samsung Securities plans to significantly expand its supply of risk capital with the funds raised through the launch of its issued notes. The company aims to meet businesses' demand for productive finance and build sustainable, mutually beneficial financial infrastructure.
A Samsung Securities official said, "We will continue expanding differentiated financial products going forward to provide customers with stable and attractive returns and serve as a catalyst for corporate growth."
