'Illustar Fest 14' to be held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in October... Semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to make first appearance at Korean subculture event

[Financial News] Illustar Fest 14, a comprehensive subculture festival bringing together a creator market, games, cosplay, virtual creators, Vocaloid, and Korea-Japan music performances, will be held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on Oct. 10-11.
AMD will participate as the main sponsor for the first time at a Korean subculture event. The festival will offer diverse content, including Cho Vocalostar 3, featuring renowned Japanese Vocaloid producers, and showcases of new games. Vocaloid refers both to voice-synthesis technology that generates songs using artificial voices when lyrics and melodies are entered, and to the music and character culture built around it.

According to Starlike on the 23rd, Illustar Fest will be held in Halls 4 and 5 of Exhibition Hall 1 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Amateur and professional creators will showcase their work and interact with fans, while game companies, businesses, and artists will also take part.
At the event's central creator market, various creators will present original illustrations, fan-made publications, novelty goods, and other works they have produced themselves. Alongside the general creator market, the Original Creation Special Zone 'Criesta' and the Virtual Creator Special Zone 'VirtuAllstar' will operate. Cho Vocalostar 3, a dedicated event centered on voice-synthesis characters such as Vocaloid, will also be held.
For Cho Vocalostar 3, renowned Vocaloid producers active in Japan will travel to Korea to present their creative works, including albums and merchandise, and interact with Korean fans. The lineup includes Satsuki and 32ki, producers of 'Mesmerizer,' which has surpassed 100 million YouTube views, as well as Daibakuhashin, buzzG, PEPOYO, Kaga and Negi Shower P, Shoten Taro, Miyamori Bungaku, and muship.
Daibakuhashin is a Vocaloid producer known for works including 'Noda.' His song 'Genten' was included on the official album for Hatsune Miku “Magical Mirai 2025” and was also performed on a live stage. Miyamori Bungaku is a producer who won the grand prize in the song contest for Magical Mirai 2023.

Global semiconductor company AMD will participate in the event as its main sponsor. This marks the first time AMD has served as the main sponsor of a Korean subculture event. The company will set up an AMD Ryzen processors User Lounge at the venue to meet fans who enjoy anime, illustrations, virtual creators, and more.
A total of 22 companies from the gaming, hardware, cosplay, publishing, and distribution sectors will participate, including AMD. In gaming, Studio B-Side will present individual booths and on-site programs for the character-development RPG 'StarSavior,' the turn-based RPG 'OUTERPLANE,' and the strategy-focused TCG 'NivelArena.'
Organizer Starlike will unveil the new rhythm game 'Sixtar Gate: INFINISTAR' for the first time. Shiira, the first member of the virtual creator project 'Illustella,' will make her debut in a broadcast on CHZZK on Oct. 3 and then hold her first offline fan meeting at the event. A booth will also be operated in conjunction with Aimeet's AI voice-synthesis engine 'AINOW.'
The indie game showcases 'IlluStar Play' and 'Indie Stage' will also be featured. Visitors will be able to try out new and in-development games submitted by Korean development teams.

The main stage will also feature a variety of performances over both days. On Saturday, the Korea-Japan Exchange Concert will be held with Korean and Japanese artists. From Japan, the six-member rock idol group Maison de Queen and lento will travel to Korea to perform.
This will be followed by Cho VocaNaru 3, a Vocaloid-only DJ event linked to Cho Vocalostar 3. Japanese producers and artists participating in Cho Vocalostar will take the stage as DJs and showcase their music.
On Sunday, the band live concert 'ILLUSTAR LIVE!' will be held. E:ON, Sugar High, Dinai, and AdoBan will perform, followed by Vocaloid DJ stages and 'ILLUSTAR DJ CONNECT,' ensuring that music programs continue until the end of the event.
The cosplay program will also be expanded. Several professional teams, including RZ COS and Cosis, will participate along with Kim Yeon-ji, Mayonez, RIRI, Ppoya, and Miumyu, who are active in Illustar's creator collaboration program 'Illustar Partners.' Chinese cosplayers Bo Xiaohei and Shiguishe will also travel to Korea to meet visitors.
Over both days, various cosplay programs will be offered, including the 'Interactive Cosplay Stage' and the 'Illustar Partners Posing Show,' as well as fan meetings and cheki photo sessions. Changing rooms and a makeup zone for cosplay participants will also be provided to event ticket holders at no additional cost.
An official from the Illustar Fest organizing committee said, "Illustar Fest has grown around a creator market where creators and fans meet and interact directly. At its 14th edition, we plan to maintain this creator-centered direction while presenting a wide range of subculture content in one place, including AMD's participation as the main sponsor, subculture game titles, Cho Vocalostar 3, Korea-Japan music performances, cosplay, and virtual creators."
