Ulsan Metropolitan City Appoints Lee Jeong-mi as Welfare and Health Bureau Director and Yoo Jae-gwon as Public Information Officer

[Financial News, Ulsan—Reporter Choi Su-sang] Ulsan Metropolitan City has appointed Dr. Lee Jeong-mi as its new Director of the Welfare and Health Bureau and Yoo Jae-gwon, the city's spokesperson, as its new Public Information Officer.
According to Ulsan Metropolitan City on the 23rd, Lee Jeong-mi, who will take office as Director of the Welfare and Health Bureau on the 28th, majored in social welfare at university. She earned a doctorate in special education from Daegu University and worked for many years in Gyeonggi Province and Gwangmyeong City. She also has experience conducting research at the University of Ulsan (UOU) and teaching students at Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology. Having worked extensively in the fields of welfare and education, she is considered well suited to building a closely connected local welfare network and leading field-oriented health administration.
Yoo Jae-gwon, the Public Information Officer, is a public relations expert who spent many years at The National Public Relations Agency and the Korea Press Foundation. In line with the communication policy of Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor Kim Sang-wook, who emphasizes transparent communication with citizens and the media, Yoo is expected to play a key role in accurately conveying major municipal issues in terms citizens can readily understand and implementing an open municipal administration.
An Ulsan Metropolitan City official said, "This appointment moved beyond formality and convention, making professional expertise the top priority so that those appointed could work effectively for citizens."
