Hyundai Creta Ranks Third in Indonesia's Compact SUV Sales, With 2,321 Units Sold From January to August

[JAKARTA, Indonesia—Aulia Maulida Hamdani, correspondent] As competition intensifies in Indonesia's compact SUV market, Hyundai Motor Company's Hyundai Creta ranked third in the segment after selling 2,321 units from January through August this year.
According to local media reports on the 23rd, total compact SUV sales in Indonesia reached 17,774 units from January through August this year. That figure accounted for approximately 2.97% of the 599,491 vehicles sold nationwide, with a total of 16 models competing in the segment.
Hyundai Creta ranked third in Indonesia's compact SUV market after selling 2,321 units from January through August this year. Honda HR-V ranked first with 4,224 units, making it the only model to sell more than 4,000 units. Mitsubishi Xforce followed in second place with 2,555 units, while Chery Tiggo Cross, a model from a Chinese automaker, closely followed Hyundai Creta with 2,302 units. Toyota Yaris Cross ranked fifth with 2,177 units sold.
Hyundai Motor Company is strengthening its efforts to target the Indonesian market with an SUV lineup that includes Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Palisade and Hyundai Santa Fe. Competition in Indonesia's compact SUV market remains intense, as sales gaps among the leading models are relatively small. By ranking third, Hyundai Creta is helping Hyundai Motor Company maintain its foothold in the local market.
