Kori Nuclear Power Plant Steps Up Community Partnership and Sharing Activities Ahead of Chuseok

[Financial News] KHNP's Kori Nuclear Power Plant is carrying out various social contribution activities throughout the local community in celebration of Chuseok.
According to Kori Nuclear Power Plant on the 23rd, it purchases locally produced agricultural products every year ahead of major holidays and delivers them to vulnerable groups in areas surrounding the plant.
On the 14th, it delivered 1,370 sacks of Gijang rice and 280 boxes of Gijang pears, along with other local agricultural products worth approximately 60 million won. The effort helped local farmers expand their sales channels and enabled neighbors to enjoy a more plentiful holiday.
This year, it also provided shipping boxes to ease local farmers' packaging costs. On the 22nd, it delivered 10,000 customized shipping boxes to local farms growing scallions and radishes at a joint agricultural worksite in Jangan-eup, Gijang County, Busan. The boxes featured both local agricultural product brands and promotional messages for Kori Nuclear Power Plant.

Shopping at traditional markets and sharing holiday food also continued. At the Traditional Market Revitalization Campaign for Chuseok held at Gijang Market on the 21st, local officials and employees of Kori Nuclear Power Plant participated and delivered locally produced goods, including fruits and vegetables, meat, and miscellaneous goods purchased at Gijang Market, to 60 vulnerable households in Gijang County.
On the 22nd, the Kori Volunteer Corps, made up of local volunteer organizations and employees, provided holiday food they had prepared themselves to 40 vulnerable households in Gijang County. Kori Nuclear Power Plant also conducts a side-dish donation service twice a month.
Ban Byeong-hun, head of Kori Nuclear Power Plant, said, "It is meaningful to share warm sentiments with neighbors in surrounding communities in celebration of Chuseok and to help invigorate traditional markets and local farms. Kori Nuclear Power Plant will continue to communicate with the local community and consistently pursue various partnership activities that residents can feel the benefits of."
