[Financial News] Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok (Baemin), is launching the 'September-End Two Out' campaign with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The initiative aims to help lonely neighbors, including people experiencing loneliness and socially isolated households, get out of the house.
According to industry sources on the 23rd, the campaign is part of a memorandum of understanding signed by Baemin and the Seoul Metropolitan Government in December 2024. Through its 'Seoul Without Loneliness' policy, the Seoul Metropolitan Government supports residents experiencing isolation in recovering their daily lives and building social networks. Baemin has continued to offer various promotions using its pickup service to encourage their participation in outside activities.
The campaign name, 'September-End Two Out,' was inspired by the word 'Out,' meaning to go outside. It conveys the hope that people will leave their homes at the end of September, when the weather is pleasant, and enjoy a light outing.
Customers participating in the campaign will receive a 5,000-won coupon, available for pickup orders, on a first-come, first-served basis. An event inviting customers to send messages of support to their neighbors will also be held. The messages will later be delivered to households experiencing isolation and seclusion. Selected customers will receive a 30,000-won coupon for use with pickup orders.
The campaign will run through October 2. Anyone who has registered an address in Seoul on the Baemin app can participate.
