NHIS Receives Presidential Citation for Contributions to Workplace Civil Defense

[Financial News] NHIS received a Presidential Citation in recognition of its achievements in operating workplace civil defense.
NHIS announced on the 23rd that it had been selected as an institution recognized for contributions to workplace civil defense and received a Presidential Citation at the ceremony commemorating the 51st anniversary of the founding of the Civil Defense Corps, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 22nd.
MOIS selects institutions that have contributed to the development of civil defense operations each year and presents awards for their achievements.
NHIS received high marks for its management and training of its workplace civil defense unit, equipment procurement, and cooperation with relevant agencies. By organizing its workplace civil defense unit in connection with personnel information, NHIS operates an ongoing management system and has assigned dedicated staff, achieving a 100% civil defense training completion rate.
It also maintains a 100% supply rate for civil defense equipment through a demand-linked management system that regularly reflects changes in personnel, and it has replaced all outdated equipment.
NHIS established a cooperation system by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA), the region's responsible military unit. It also conducts annual joint drills involving civilians, government, the military, police, and firefighters.
An NHIS official said, "We were recognized for faithfully fulfilling the role of a public institution in national emergency preparedness and disaster safety." The official added, "We will create a safe service environment by establishing a systematic civil defense operation and an effective emergency response system."
