"Bluefin Tuna Cutting Show Featuring Tuna Caught off Busan"... Win-Win Pop-Up Event in Pangyo

[Financial News] Bluefin tuna weighing more than 100 kilograms, caught directly in Korea's coastal waters by fishing vessels registered in Busan, will make an appearance at a department store in the Seoul metropolitan area. A pop-up event aimed at promoting the excellence of domestically caught bluefin tuna will give visitors a chance to see and taste a product that is usually difficult to find. 
The Busan Metropolitan City Government announced on the 23rd that it will host “The Taste of Busan’s Sea, K-Seafood Win-Win Pop-Up” at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch from September 26 to October 1 as part of a pilot project to increase the income generated from domestically caught bluefin tuna.
The event was organized to make high-quality domestically caught bluefin tuna, for which a supply base has been established, more accessible to consumers.
During the event, domestically caught bluefin tuna weighing more than 100 kilograms and caught off the coast of Busan will be cut up on-site every day and sold in limited quantities.
Convenient menu items, including mackerel sushi rolls and pot-cooked rice made with domestically caught mackerel, will also be available.
Shim Jae-min, head of the Maritime Capital Strategy Office at the Busan Metropolitan City Government, said, "We expect this event to widely promote the excellence of K-seafood, including domestically caught bluefin tuna, and serve as an opportunity to expand consumption."
