Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, Korea Construction Engineers Association Sign MOU to Link Safety Inspection Engineer Information

[Financial News] The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety and the Korea Construction Engineers Association will share registration and career information for engineers who conduct facility safety inspections and diagnoses. The organizations plan to reduce the inconvenience of engineers repeatedly submitting the same documents to both institutions and simplify related administrative work.
The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety said on the 23rd that it had signed an MOU with the Korea Construction Engineers Association on the 22nd to improve the convenience of engineer registration and career management, as well as operational efficiency.
The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety currently manages engineer information and records of facility inspections and diagnoses through the Facilities Integrated Information Management System (FMS). The association separately manages information required for registration and career management, including engineers' grades and qualifications.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will provide each other with information needed for engineer registration and career management and link their related systems. The key goal is to reduce the burden on engineers of resubmitting to one institution information they have registered or changed in the other institution's system.
Once the information systems are linked, the accuracy of engineer information is expected to improve, while both organizations will spend less time reviewing attached documents and entering data.
Park Chang-geun, president of the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, said, "We plan to work closely with the Korea Construction Engineers Association to provide better public services."
