Korean Air Ranks 10th in Skytrax's 'World's Best Airlines' Ranking

[Financial News] Korean Air has been named one of the world's top 10 airlines by Skytrax, a UK-based airline services rating agency.
Korean Air announced on the 23rd that it ranked 10th in the overall 'World's Best Airline' category at the 2026 World Airline Awards held recently in London, UK.
Founded in 1989, Skytrax is a London-based UK consulting and rating agency specializing in air transport. Each year, it evaluates airline service quality through surveys of passengers worldwide and selects top-performing airlines in various categories. This year's survey covered more than 300 airlines around the world from September last year through August this year.
Korean Air placed in the top 15 in a total of 14 categories, including the overall ranking.
It ranked first in both the 'Best Economy Class Seats' and 'Best Airline Staff in South Korea' categories. Its economy class seats rose two places from third last year, while its airline staff in South Korea retained the top spot for the second consecutive year.
In the broader evaluation categories, Korean Air ranked sixth as 'Asia's Best Airline,' seventh as the 'World's Best Family-Friendly Airline,' and 10th as the 'World's Cleanest Airline.' It also placed 13th in both the 'World's Best Airline Staff' and 'World's Best Airport Services' categories.
Korean Air also ranked among the top performers in premium economy. It placed seventh for 'Best Seats,' 10th for 'Best Catering,' and 15th in the overall premium economy class ranking. In the overall economy class ranking, it came in 14th.
In the first-class categories, the Incheon International Airport First Class Lounge ranked eighth, first-class seats ranked ninth, and first-class lounge dining ranked 10th.
A Korean Air official said, "This recognition is the result of our continued efforts to renew services across the board and improve quality to enhance the customer experience. We will continue to provide travel experiences that exceed our customers' expectations and further develop into the world's most beloved airline."
In April this year, Korean Air was named a '5-Star Airline'—the highest rating—for the sixth consecutive year in Skytrax's World Airline and Airport Star Rating programme. It also won 13 awards in the inflight service category at the WTCE 2026 awards ceremony held in Hamburg, Germany.
