Kosin University to Confer Honorary Doctor of Education Degree on Former Supreme Court Justice Kim Shin

[Financial News] Kosin University announced on the 23rd that it will confer an honorary Doctor of Education degree on Kim Shin, a former justice of the Supreme Court of Korea, on the 30th at the university.
Kim Shin is receiving the degree in recognition of his more than 35 years of service as a judge, contributions to the development of constitutional order and the rule of law, and dedication to protecting the rights of socially disadvantaged people and nurturing future generations based on his Christian faith.
Kim Shin was appointed a judge at Busan District Court in 1983. He later served as a presiding judge at Busan High Court and chief judge of Ulsan District Court before serving as a justice of the Supreme Court of Korea for six years from 2012. In 2019, he was also awarded the First Class Order of Service Merit.
Kosin University President Lee Jeong-gi said, "We are conferring this degree in recognition of his outstanding achievements in legal scholarship, dedication to education, and life of public service grounded in Christian values."
