SME Community: "Minister Lee So-young Must Work to Overcome Polarization and Advance AI Transition"

[Financial News] The SME community has asked new Minister Lee So-young to work on regulatory rationalization, the AI transition of SMEs, and easing the cost burden on small business owners.
 Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ) issued a commentary on the 23rd, saying, "We expect Minister Lee to take the lead in helping our SMEs and small business owners overcome the complex difficulties they face, including high interest rates, high prices, and delayed recovery in domestic demand, based on her experience and knowledge in various legislative and budgetary activities. We also hope she will help them make the leap to become key players driving growth in our economy."
 It particularly emphasized the need to work toward overcoming polarization. KBIZ urged, "As Minister Lee stated at her confirmation hearing, we ask that she actively work to overcome the K-shaped polarization facing our economy by rationalizing regulations, explicitly defining and specifying the role of SMEs in the nation's core growth strategies, and reforming the unsustainable cost structures of small business owners."
 It added, "As polarization between large enterprises and SMEs could become more serious in the AI era, we hope you will concentrate policy capabilities on the AI transition and digital innovation of SMEs to enhance their future competitiveness."
 It continued, "Just as Minister Lee visited SME organizations and listened to opinions from the field when she was a nominee, we hope she will continue to listen carefully to the voices of SMEs and dynamically implement policies that have a tangible impact," adding, "We, too, will actively cooperate to address the difficulties faced by SMEs and small business owners."
