For subscribers traveling abroad, the company is running the “2026 U+ Roaming In-flight Wi-Fi Event” through the end of this year.
As of July, LG Uplus’s 5G roaming service was available in 100 countries and territories worldwide. However, whether a 5G connection is available depends on the local network and the device.
The roaming call service of the artificial intelligence (AI) calling app “ixi-O” is currently available in about 170 countries. Customers subscribed to an LG Uplus roaming plan or using Wi-Fi do not have to pay separate international calling charges when making voice calls abroad.
For customers leaving home for ancestral visits or travel, the company recommends “HomeCam Lite,” launched this month. Under a three-year contract, users can access QHD image quality and AI detection features for 5,500 won per month. The service features a security chip, video encryption, and two-step authentication, and includes insurance covering losses from fires and video hacking. The company is also running an enrollment event for HomeCam Lite, along with benefits related to HomeCam and DoorCam.
It also prepared subscription discounts for customers spending the holiday at home. Through the 30th, first-time users of AI and content subscription products will receive discounts of up to 5,000 won. Products eligible for the event will receive billing discounts of up to 45%, while the actual discount amount varies depending on the product and method of use.
On ChatGPT’s “Uplus” plugin, users can check the data allowance, monthly fee, and key benefits of “Nugget,” an online-only plan. Selecting a product directs users to the official Nugget website, while identity verification and subscription applications are completed through official LG Uplus channels.
The “U+ Ttu-ppul” membership program offers partner benefits for Chuseok grocery shopping, dining out, and outings. In addition to shopping benefits from Kurly, Sajo Mall, and Ottogi Mall, it offers lodging, cultural, and dining benefits. On the 24th, it will provide emart24 discounts to long-term customers.
