Korea Manhwa Contents Agency Supports Youth from Creating Comics and Webtoons to Exhibiting Their Work

[Financial News] Teenagers in Bucheon are taking part in an educational program where they turn their own stories into comics and webtoons. They exchange ideas while creating their work and will showcase the results to visitors at the end of the year.
On the 23rd, the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency said it had been selected as a hub institution for this year's 'Dream Studio' program and was operating '2026 Dream Studio Bucheon' for teenagers in the Bucheon area.
According to the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (KACES), Dream Studio is a visual arts education program for children and teenagers. After a pilot program last year, it became a regular program this year.
Participants do more than simply copy drawings; they find inspiration in their own experiences and interests. They develop these ideas into stories and images, exchange feedback, and refine their individual approaches to expression. The trial and error involved in completing a comic is also part of the educational process.
The participants' work and creative records will be showcased at an exhibition held at the Korea Manhwa Museum in November and December.
Baek Jong-hoon, president of the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, said, "We will continue to support young people so that they can discover their potential through comics and webtoons and enjoy the pleasure of creating."
