First Lady Kim Hye-kyung and Melania 'Right in the Center' at Melania's Event... "Working to Advance Digital Education"

[Financial News] First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, who is attending the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly with President Lee Jae Myung, attended an event for spouses of national leaders hosted by Melania Trump in New York on Sept. 22 local time.
According to Ahn Gwi-ryeong, deputy spokesperson for Cheong Wa Dae, Kim attended a luncheon for the Fostering the Future Together (FTFT) Alliance at The St. Regis Hotel in New York that afternoon.
The Fostering the Future Together Alliance is an organization of spouses of national leaders launched by Melania Trump last year on the occasion of the 80th United Nations General Assembly. It aims to help children grow up safely and healthily in the digital age through education, innovation and technology.
The alliance currently includes spouses of national leaders from about 50 countries, while global technology companies such as Meta, Google and OpenAI are also participating as partners. The South Korean government decided to join the alliance at the Korea-U.S. summit last October.
Melania Trump welcomed Kim Hye-kyung and the spouses of national leaders from various countries, saying, "The future of the world will be determined by what we do for children today."
Kim thanked Melania Trump for organizing the event. Recalling that she had attended last year's launch reception, she said, "The alliance has grown rapidly based on a shared understanding that advances in digital technology should lead to a better future for our children."
Kim also emphasized the need for international cooperation in the digital transition. She said, "The challenges of digital transformation cannot be solved through the efforts of any one country alone," adding, "South Korea is also making various efforts to provide digital education that expands learning opportunities while protecting children's safety."
Kim exchanged views with the spouses of national leaders attending the event on the direction of education in the digital age and ways to use technology safely.
Ahn said, "This event was an opportunity to strengthen the international community's resolve for solidarity and cooperation for future generations, based on a shared understanding that learning opportunities through digital technology must be expanded while children's safety is firmly protected."
