[Financial News] Ernst & Young Hanyoung joined an initiative to support vulnerable groups through sharing ahead of Chuseok.
Ernst & Young Hanyoung announced on the 22nd that it had donated 900 10-kilogram bags of rice to support vulnerable groups in Seoul. The donated items were delivered through the Korea National Council on Social Welfare's KOREA Foodbank to vulnerable groups, food banks and food markets in Seoul.
This marks the third consecutive year of Ernst & Young Hanyoung's Chuseok rice donations. Since 2024, the company has donated more than 3,000 10-kilogram bags of rice, worth approximately 120 million won.
This year also brought changes to Ernst & Young Hanyoung's social contribution system. The internal social contribution network EY Hanyoung Hanmaeum Nanumi, launched in 2006 through the voluntary participation of employees, marked its 20th anniversary by being relaunched as the incorporated association Han Young Heart Sharing Foundation. Based on this foundation, Ernst & Young Hanyoung plans to expand its social contribution activities more systematically, including support for vulnerable groups and future generations.
Park Yong-geun, CEO of Ernst & Young Hanyoung, said, "This year as well, we prepared an initiative to share with our neighbors in the local community during the Chuseok holiday," adding, "We will continue to support future generations and vulnerable groups, create positive change in society, and expand the value of shared growth together with local communities."
