"The Present and Future of Data Centers in the AI Era" FKI Holds Seminar

[Financial News] With the establishment of data centers being promoted as one of the three major megaprojects of the Lee Jae-myung administration, the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) announced on the 23rd that it would hold a seminar jointly with Song Ki-heon, chairman of the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee of the National Assembly, under the theme "The Present and Future of Data Centers in the AI Era."
The seminar, scheduled for the 29th at the conference center of FKI Tower in Seoul's Yeouido district, will address global market conditions, policy trends in various countries, and development strategies and policy challenges for Korea's data center industry.
Nayeong Kim, a director at Wood Mackenzie Consulting, will present on "Global Data Center Trends, Major Policy Changes and Their Implications." Dr. Lee Je-hoon of FKI's New K-Industry Team will discuss "The Distribution of Data Centers in Korea During the AI Transition and Implications for Their Expansion."
At the panel discussion, Jeongcheol, FKI's chief research officer and president of the Korea Economic Research Institute (KERI), will serve as moderator. He will be joined by Park Chan Gook, a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS); Jang Gi-cheol, director of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Promotion Division at the Ministry of Science and ICT; Chris Jang, CEO of Equinix Korea; and Donghyun Shin, a research fellow at the Korea Energy Economics Institute, to discuss "Development Strategies and Cooperation Measures for the Data Center Industry."
