University of Seoul, Kyung Hee University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Host Joint Three-University Festival 'TROIKA'

[Financial News]  The joint festival '2026 TROIKA,' where students from the University of Seoul (UOS), Kyung Hee University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) exchange through sports, academic and cultural activities, has been held.
UOS said on the 22nd that it held the opening ceremony for '2026 TROIKA–Inhyangje' on the central stage in front of the university's main auditorium on the 21st. The event is being held in connection with UOS's student club festival, Inhyangje, and will continue through the 22nd.
TROIKA is a university exchange event jointly hosted by UOS, Kyung Hee University and HUFS. The event was first held in 2019, followed by a second edition in 2023, making this year's festival the third.
This year's festival, themed 'TROIKA Waves: The Moment Three Waves Meet,' features sports, academic and cultural programs. These include Yeokdongjeon, a sports exchange involving the three universities that began on the 9th; Gamdongjeon, which features a policy proposal contest and an academic exhibition; and Akdongje, centered on performances and cheering events. The programs were held on each university's campus.
The main event features performances by student clubs from the three universities and a joint cheering event. Experience and promotional booths involving university clubs, Dongdaemun District and others are also being operated. A key feature is the event's connection of inter-university student exchanges with the local community beyond the campuses.
The opening ceremony on the 21st was attended by Won Yong-geol, president of UOS, as well as officials from the three universities, student representatives, and officials from Dongdaemun District and local institutions.
UOS President Won Yong-geol said, "TROIKA is a meaningful event where students from three different universities meet in person, exchange through sports, academic and cultural activities, and form new relationships. We hope it will become a festival where the individuality and passion of the three universities come together as one great wave." He added, "UOS will continue to expand community partnership programs with Kyung Hee University and HUFS, which are also located in Dongdaemun District, while strengthening student exchanges and solidarity among the universities. We plan to continue pursuing a variety of programs that foster a healthy youth culture so that universities and the local community can grow together."
