Busan Bank Delivers KRW 750 Million in Education Sarang Card Funds to Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education

[Financial News] The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education said on the 22nd that it received approximately KRW 750 million in Busan Education Sarang Card funds from Busan Bank.
Under an agreement signed in 2004, Busan Bank has accumulated and delivered to the education office each year a set percentage of the amounts issued and spent through the Busan Education Sarang Card.
The education office used the funds to promote educational welfare for marginalized groups, including providing holiday meal expenses for children from low-income families at risk of going without meals.
The approximately KRW 750 million delivered this year will also be used to cover welfare expenses, including holiday meal costs for children from low-income families.
Superintendent Kim Seok-jun said, "I thank Busan Bank for continuing to show interest in the welfare of children from low-income families despite the difficult domestic and international economic conditions. The Office of Education will also do its utmost to provide comprehensive support to ensure stable educational opportunities for students from educationally vulnerable groups."
