This Summer, 320,000 People Visit Ulsan Ilsan Beach; 'Zero Casualties'

【Financial News Ulsan—Reporter Choi Su-sang】 Dong District, Ulsan, held a meeting at the district office situation room on the 22nd to review the operation of Ulsan Ilsan Beach and discuss this year's achievements and areas for improvement.
Ulsan Ilsan Beach opened on July 1 this year and operated through August 31.
The beach recorded 326,584 visitors during that period. Along with Jinha Beach in Ulju County, Ulsan Ilsan Beach is one of only two official beaches in Ulsan, attracting more than 320,000 beachgoers every year. No casualties occurred during this year's operating period. 
Before the beach opened, Dong District, Ulsan, installed nets to prevent jellyfish-related injuries and inspected underwater hazards.
During the operating period, the district deployed safety personnel and maintained the beach and surrounding areas.
It also worked with relevant agencies, including the Ulsan Coast Guard Station, Ulsan Dong-bu Police Office and Ulsan Dongbu Fire Station, to ensure safety.
Cultural and recreational programs were also held, including the Ulsan Shipbuilding & Sea Festival, Ilsan cultural performances and free marine leisure sports classes.
Cheon Gi-ok, head of Dong District, said, "We will review the opinions presented at this meeting and make the beach an even safer and more pleasant recreational space next year."
