Jangseong County to Hold 'Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival' from October 8 to 11

【Financial News, Jangseong—Hwang Tae-jong】Jangseong County will hold the 'Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival' from October 8 to 11.
 Although the festival will be shorter than in previous years, the county is preparing an even fuller lineup of attractions and activities to welcome visitors.
 Jangseong County Head Kim Han-jong emphasized, "We are making every effort to prepare for the festival so that both residents and visitors can safely and comfortably enjoy the atmosphere of autumn."
 According to Jangseong County on the 22nd, trot singers Seongri, Jang Han-byeol, Lee Su-ho, Hyeon Jin-woo and IQ will perform on the lively opening ceremony stage on the evening of the 8th, the festival's first day. Before the ceremony, trot singer Minshim and D2M, which won an encouragement award at last spring's 'Jangseong Busking National Competition,' will perform for the audience.
 On the 9th, vocal groups will add an emotional touch to the festival. Urban Zakapa, a three-member mixed-gender group comprising Jo Hyun-ah, Kwon Soon-il and Park Yong-in, and Gavy NJ, a multinational four-member female group made up of Yejan, Naye, Ruan and Myanmar-born Riel, will showcase their outstanding vocal skills. Iro, a fusion traditional Korean music band that won the grand prize at the 'Jangseong Busking National Competition,' and String Band Momad will also take the stage.
 On the festival's final day, the 11th, the four-member band YB, featuring vocalist Yoon Do-hyun, drummer Kim Jin-won, bassist Park Tae-hee and guitarist Heo Jun, will bring the festivities to a close. The two-member band Red C will also perform.
 This year's festival will again feature the 'J-Light Run,' which was introduced at last year's event and became hugely popular. Participants can enjoy the unusual experience of running along Hwangryonggang at night while avoiding zombies and grim reapers. The 2.5-kilometer course starts at Hwangnyong Garden, loops around Hwangmireu Land and returns to the starting point, making it accessible for anyone to participate.
 This year, beer will also be added to the event. Approximately 2,000 cups of beer will be available for 1,000 won each, while a DJ performance will provide additional entertainment.
 The 'J-Light Run & Beer Party' will begin at 6 p.m. on the 10th, a Saturday. Participation is limited to the first 500 applicants, who can register through the 'Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival' website beginning on the 28th, after the Chuseok holiday.
 At Hwangmireu Land, families can enjoy performances for children, including magic shows, balloon art and bubble shows, three times a day from the 9th through the 11th. At 11 a.m. on the 9th, the children's musical 'Namudeulbo Relax' will be performed on the main stage at Hwangnyong Garden. Under the theme 'It's Okay to Be Slow,' it will present a moving story filled with lessons.
 Jangseong County will also operate the 'Hwangmireu Shuttle' between the main stage at Hwangnyong Garden and Hwangmireu Land. The shuttle will travel to Hwangmireu Land every hour from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a fare of 1,000 won. Shuttles returning from Hwangmireu Land to the festival site at Hwangnyong Garden will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 The county will also hold a 'Front-Row Seat Event.' Those who donate at least 100,000 won through the Jangseong County Hometown Love Donation Program or spend at least 70,000 won locally will receive two front-row seats to the 'Hello, Autumn Concert' per person. A total of 200 seats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
 The county will also hold a 'Three-Hour Stay Event,' in which visitors who remain at the festival site for at least three hours receive character merchandise featuring Seongjangi and Jangseongi. In addition, visitors who take photos posing with a 'hand heart' beside Seongjangi and Jangseongi air balloons installed at Cheongbaengni Garden and Hongdam Garden will receive small commemorative gifts.
 This year's festival will feature spectacular fireworks twice—during the opening and closing ceremonies.
